WICKENBURG VETERANS STAND DOWN
The American Legion Post #12 in Wickenburg, Arizona is leading the initiative for Stand Down 2024, and is supported by the organizational management efforts of Region One Veterans Support Office. To make any Stand Down a success, community-based Veterans Services Organizations, Non-Profit Organizations, and County Veterans Service Offices in cooperation from a variety of state, federal, and private agencies join together to ensure a successful event. On the day, vital services such as: food, shelter, clothing, health screenings, benefits counseling, dental services, grooming services and referrals to a variety of necessary services such as housing, employment, suicide prevention and substance abuse treatment, as well as representatives from our local Court system will be present. These critical services are often the catalyst that enables major improvements to our Veterans lives.
HOW YOU CAN HELP
To address the many challenges our Veterans face, Wickenburg American Legion Post #12 must execute a successful Stand Down. To accomplish this, we need your help. We are looking for donations of services from local health care services, benefit assistance, clothing and food, time or services from Volunteers, as well as financial donations. All, and any, help you can provide will ensure all aspects of this 1st-ever Wickenburg Stand Down is a mission accomplished.
Your contribution to Wickenburg Stand Down 2024 would not only convey your thanks to our Veterans, but also provide a sense of fulfillment that you have helped those who have sacrificed themselves on your behalf. Your support will help foster fellowship amongst our Veterans and be repaid through increased visibility and business opportunities within this large community and access an underutilized labor pool who have so much to offer.
We will need Volunteers to make this a success.
